Bloomsburg Falls to IUP in Women's Basketball

INDIANA, PA--The Bloomsburg University women's basketball team placed two players in double figures, but it wasn't enough as the Huskies lost to Indiana, Pa (IUP) 68-57 on Saturday afternoon.

The Huskies held an early 7-2 lead in the game before IUP rallied and went in front 10-9 at the 11:27 mark of the first half. Later, IUP was holding a19-17 lead when the Crimson Hawks used an 11-0 run over a three- minute stretch to go in front 30-17 with 2:30 to play in the half. In the second half the Huskies could get no closer than 10 points on several occasions and ended up snapping its two-game winning streak.

Colleen Kegerreis (Schuylkill Haven/Schuylkill Haven) led the Huskies, now 3-3, with 13 points and 10 rebounds, while Lauren Healey (Glenmoore/Owen J. Roberts) also scored 13 points in the loss. IUP, which improved to 6-0 on the year, got 24 points from Jahzinga Tracey and 14 from Kylie Miller.

Bloomsburg plays at Clarion tomorrow at 1 p.m.
